One of the greatest needs of teenagers (after music, screen time and other Entertainment) is a strong sense of belonging. They need to feel like they are a part of something bigger than themselves. And guess what? If they do not get this need met in a healthy place, they will begin to look for ways to get this need met anywhere else they can find it.
If your child is unmotivated for college, consider putting her into a profession. Give her a work as a job before you send money off to school. It may perhaps be that she never goes to academy or college. in Illinois this is a misconception that if your childs do not go to college, they won’t be able to make it in life. Many parents in Illinois think as if overnight, a stranger is existing in their house. They want to continue to help their childs, but their childs do not want any help. The parents bottom line is I want my kid back. The teens bottom line is I want to be more and more in charge of myself.
While those two statements may sound like irreconcilable differences, they don’t necessarily have to be. They are both suitable needs.
