Indiana Boot camps do not emphasize therapy. They do not contract with emotional issues that lie beneath many youngster behavioral problems. They emphasize discipline and authoritarian control. These intensive programs can quickly narrow down the issues your youngster is experiencing to help him or her on a positive life path.
The hypothesis behind many camps in Indiana is that if you shout enough at teens and discipline them, they will get in line. Oppositional, Angry, defiant youth may fall in line while in the intensely overwhelming, military-like atmosphere of a boot camp, but in most cases these short-term scream camps do not create lasting changes in anxious youths. Indiana Troubled Teen Boot camps do not highlight therapy. They do not deal with emotional issues that underlie many youth’s behavioral problems. They stress discipline and authoritarian control.
