Thirty-four percent of teenage girls in Maryland become pregnant at least once before they reach the age of 20 -- about 820,000 in one year. Eight of each ten of these teenage pregnancies are unintended and 79 percent are to unmarried adolescent girl. A recent study in Maryland has shown what we parents have long suspected: that coverage the sexuality on television is directly related to the initiation and occurrence of sexual activities in teens. By the report 13 percent son of teens mothers are deaths in a prison while teen daughters are 22 percent more likely to become teen mothers themselves.
As a parent, let your teen know that you take sex seriously, that you are not afraid to talk about it and that you will be there for them no matter what. This is sometimes all that we can do and the good news is that it is often enough.

1.Your teen has regular, sudden outbursts of anger that are clearly unreasonable and out of proportion to whatever has caused the anger.
2.Your childs grades have suddenly dropped and the child has lost interest in the common activities.
3.Your adolescent has extreme mood swings, from depression to elation, and seems to sleep a lot more than usual at times.
4.Your teenager has suddenly changed his or her peer group and has not made an effort to let you meet these new friends.
5.Your child becomes more secretive, and it seems like more than a desire for greater privacy.
It is very important for the parents of Maryland to take a close look at your teens qualities, behavior and your own parenting style to figure out how your child is feeling about himself and his place in the world.
