Berkshire Hills Music Academy is a private post-secondary residential school for young adults located in South Hadley, Massachusetts. The school helps the students having learning or developmental disabilities. They provide young adults the opportunity to live in collegiate setting and acquire independent living skills while developing their musical potential.
The main aim of the school is to educate, guide and expand the talent of young adults who are enthusiastic for music so they can accomplish individual growth and make a optimistic contribution to society.
The academy tries to highlight students’ abilities rather than focusing on their discrepancies. The program structure at the Academy is designed to support achievements in self-efficacy and jog eagerness as well as to nurture abilities in the performing arts. The academy endeavor to offer a flexible, innovative, well-rounded curriculum which is music-based and accountable for meeting specific, individualized, educational objectives.
The academy tries to increase the potential in all the students by building on strength and remediation weaknesses in a fostering and helpful atmosphere.
The Academy offers three different programs:
- Two-year Certificate Program
- Music In Careers (MIC)
- Summer Program
The two-year program is designed for the young adults’ age of 18 to 30 with a special talent for music. Here Students will expand their musical capability in the academic setting. They are also taught the living skills to make their lives beautiful.
This program is divided in to three parts:
- Academic Instruction
- Music Study
- Vocational Training
- Residential Life
Music in careers (MIC)
This program is designed to provide intensive music career training and field experience, presenting students with an opportunity to live the lives of working musicians. Its a one-year vocational and life skills for the qualified graduates of the Academy's two-year program. It is to improve performance skills, learn and practice skills to obtain employment in jobs with music content, and improve independent living skills.
Summer Program
This is summer based program experience young adults between age 16 and 25 who are interested in exploring their musical abilities.

Berkshire Hills Music Academy is an institute which is like a blessing for bothered teens. Treatment center is very well known because of its effective 12 Steps Treatment Process.
