Catalyst is a residential treatment center for boys in the age group of 13 to 17 years with substance abuse problem and dual diagnosis such as ADHD, trauma, depression etc. It is spread in an open space in the Brigham City, Utah. They have good experience and proven treatment facilities for children to cope up their substance abuse problem and dual diagnosis. Their aim is to provide good opportunities along with visible changes in teens to restore well through their program. They help boys to turn into young men with a good level of maturity. They work to help families in crisis by teaching them to maintain balance between families, physical, mental, social, spiritual, and emotional growth. Catalyst provides safe and home like environment to struggling teens. The Catalyst focuses on the therapy intensive programs. Each student is given therapeutic treatment for about two and a half hours each day. The curriculum offered by the Catalyst consists of core subjects of Math, Science, English, and History. Some important subjects of the curriculum also include PE, psychology, group discussions etc. The class is divided into a group with six students in each group to be given therapeutic treatment. The Catalyst first enrolls teens with substance misuse, abuse and addiction problem. It also provides effective treatment for Adoption issues, Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Low self-esteem etc. They have certain exclusions to this criterion as they do not treat teens with psycho problems, mental destruction, gang involvement, conduct disorder etc.
