Copper Canyon Academy is a therapeutic boarding school to help troubled women ages of 14 to 17, located at the Rimrock, Arizona.
The school addresses the unique emotional and social needs of teenager girls. The students at the school will feel the warmth of the community, respect, mutual cooperation, friendship, leadership and compassion. Here each student will learn to confront the past and look forward to the future.
The goal of the school is:
- To enhance the emotional, physical, mental, spiritual and social skills of teenage women.
- To develop a highly qualified and motivated staff that reflects high self-esteem, individuality, creativity, and leadership.
- To provide the best therapeutic program designed to reach every student and assist them in building self-esteem, self-confidence, self-awareness, self-reliance, and self-management.

The students here work to build up themselves in the areas of emotional, psychological, physical, spiritual and communal growth and development.

- Fully accredited academic program (college prep based)
- Family oriented, transitional living experience in the community
- Individual Therapy, Group Therapy and Family Therapy
- Optional Therapy: DBT, EMDR, AA Meetings, Ala-Non Meetings
- Student Seminars, Parent Seminars and Family Workshops
- Equine Therapy, Canine Therapy, Equestrian Riding, Choir, Dance and Yoga
- Extensive physical education program, including calisthenics, sports, hiking, and jogging
- Leadership skill building and extensive leadership opportunities
- Competitive sports program: basketball, volleyball, softball and soccer
- Nutritional diet and education
- Outdoor activities
- Community service and interaction
- Social and life skills
The classes are given by certified teachers. The student and the faculty are working together for a common purpose and cause. The program is designed to maximize a students learning potential, a joy of learning, and also utilizes a unique credit recovery program.
