Falcon Ridge Ranch is a state licensed, residential treatment program for struggling girls in the age group of 12 to 17 years that are facing issues such as stealing, running away, aggressive, low grades in school, substance abuse, poor self-esteem etc. It is located at Virgin, Utah, just 10 miles from Zion National Park. They offer safe and challenging atmosphere with effective programs to help students.
Students in FRR receive individual, group, equine assisted, and recreational therapy. Their therapists are dedicated to provide effective therapy so as to help struggling teens reunite with their family members. The students and the staff members work hard to achieve long term success. The ranch provides all the necessary aids to develop positive thinking and attitude including education, therapy, life skills training, recreation, and consistent application. They are also taught about the first aid training, money management, sewing, nutrition, community service, and cooking. They are allowed to take part in daily activities and take care of ranch animals. Their behavior modification plan is very helpful for every student. This increases the self-esteem, self-confidence and self-control of their students which helps them in their future.
Family plays a key role in recovery process of each girl. With full family support, there is probability of achieving long term teen success. Parents are updated about their child’s performance and progress and they are taught about the after care i.e. how to deal with the child after returning home. Outdoor activities include swimming, soccer, volleyball, dodge ball, basketball etc.
