For Parents of Adolescents is Website offering free parenting tips from a professional author and therapist. We have articles, parenting seminars, teleseminars, and very soon memberships for parents of adolescents with exclusive access to audios and videos of live interviews with experts, parenting forums, discounts on parenting products, and much more. Parents of adolescents are able to sign up for free monthly tips and post in the forum as well as comment on the author's blog and read all of the numerous free ariticles that will be available.
The author has been specializing with difficult teens and families for well over 25 years and has experience with numerous types of behavioral and emotional probems. She currently provides outpatient psychotherapy and interventions serving adolescents, adults, and families in her private practice in Phoenix, Arizona. The For Parents of Adolescents website was started in 2004 to offer monthly free parenting tips for parents of adolescents. This site is currently being rebuilt and revamped and will shortly be combined with the new membership site For Parents of Adolescents. The author will continue to offer the free parenting tips as well as free articles and occasional free teleseminars. Parents who have subscribed to the free monthly tips will get news about upcoming events both free and exclusive membership only offerings.
The membership site (to be launched in late January, 2008) will be unlike any other on the Internet. We'll be offering featured articles on topics of interest to parents of adolescents including self-harm, substance abuse, addiction, teen dating and sexuality, issues surrounding sexual orientation and discrimination, teen pregnancy, cultural diversity, preventing juvenile crime, warning signs of potential teenage violent rampages, bullying, parent-teen power struggles, eating disorders, behavioral acting out, PTSD, communicating with your teenagers, teen depression and treatment, and much, much, more.
We'll be inviting residential and wilderness programs to be featured on our site with very rigid guildelines for acceptance and involving parents in reviewing these facilities and programs. We aim to offer you as much information as possible to help you in raising your adolescents and give you strength and direction when you're faced with a troubled teen.
We already have a Free Teleseminar planned for February 19, 2008 where our invited guest expert will be talking about empowering adolescent victims of bullying and teasing along with helping parents to win with power struggles with their teen. We'll be discussing controversial issues surrounding recent and previous episodes of mass violence perpetrated by adolescents and young adults with goals of helping parents to identify warning signs that could prevent their teen from becoming mass murderers.
