Forest Heights Lodge is a non-profitable therapeutic center for troubled boys’ ages of 5 to 14. It was founded in 1955 and is located in Evergreen, Colorado. The program is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). This is a residential program which offers on- ground school for their students.
The main focus of the school is continues to be the renovation of children to highest performance. They believe in the critical nature of close personal relationships and that why they run small programs.
The school accepts the boys having the following problems:
-Depression
-Aggression
-Impulsivity
-Extremes of fear or obsessive behaviors
The school provides complete range of outpatient programs for their students and their families.
The focus of the school is in the following areas:
-The emotionally disturbed child and the problems such disturbances create for him and others.
-Attachment problems presented and experienced by children in foster care and birth and adoptive families.
-Children who experienced parental loss whether it is by death, divorce or foster care.
-Problems presented by the very young child due to developmental imbalance.
The school also offers individual evaluations that aim to explicatory the students requirements, diagnosis and proposals to other agencies responsible for providing ongoing services for the child.
