Harbor Oaks Boarding School is a private, non-profit, emotional growth school that offers services to young struggling boys and girls in the age group of 12 to 18 years. It located in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. It is registered with the State of North Carolina Department of Education. It offers programs and treatment to teens with behavioral problem, low self-esteem, poor family relationship, runaway and suicidal tendencies, mood swings, authority issues, drugs and alcohol abuse, peer pressure influence etc. They have a criterion that they do not accept teens with psychological problem. They help teens to overcome these problems and develop integrity, responsibility, character and accountability.
With the help of their manual and computerized programs, they ensure remarkable improvements in struggling teens. Their programs are result oriented and have equal involvement of parents of troubled teens. That is, parents also play key role in their program and treatment. The students are constantly monitored and parents are updated about their child’s performance and progress. In the accommodation provided by the school, the students are supposed to live in a lodge with their house parents. They offer nurturing environment and academic classes are complimented by a full roster of extra curricular activities that can be customized to meet the needs of each individual, including drama, dance, speech, music etc. The staff of Harbor Oaks Boarding School is well qualified and has good experience in dealing with struggling teens. The students are under 24 hours supervision of the staff.

My friend was an outstanding student and used to excel in every activity from academics to sports. But slowly her performance went down and she lost interest in studies.
