Heart Mountain New Beginnings is for young boys in the age group of 12 to 17 year that are facing low self-esteem, poor performance in school, loss issues or audio/video addictions such as internet, videogames, pornography, adoption issues etc. They offer family type atmosphere to the struggling teens and serve home cooked meal that is to be eaten around dining table. They are dedicated to help each boy to develop positive skills and attitude. They do not accept more than 10 boys at a time because they believe by this way the struggling teens will get more attention from the staff and faculty members. They are made strong enough to accept the challenges of life and achieve their desired goals.
During the stay, they offer programs to the struggling teens that are based on six-tier system of advancement. Each tier has certain privileges and responsibilities. Their unique and innovative programs include therapeutic treatment as well. Youth therapy is the most effective in turning lives of the disturbed teens. Equal emphasis is paid on academics as well. In the education field, they primarily focus on high school education and provide tuitions as well. Apart from academics and treatment, students are also allowed to participate in community services and physical education also. They are also taught about money management. There are special programs deigned for parents as well. In these programs, parents are taught about the philosophy and practices that they are to perform at home. They believe that with parents support, the recovery becomes easy and fast. In HMNB, they are provided with all the necessary tools to achieve success in life.
