The Teen Challenge Kansas City Girls Academy is a fifteen-month residential discipleship program. The students experience a highly structured and disciplined environment with the emphasis placed on authentic relationships – beginning with a relationship with Jesus Christ. When a person is truly serving God, they can begin to enjoy healthy relationships with family and friends. The student residences, kitchen/dining and school are in located in the 10,000 sq. ft. main center. With over twelve acres, we have ample areas for physical activity including a pool.
We employ a team of residential, education and counseling staff who have the appropriate experience for their roles. Team members live in the main building residence and on campus to insure the safety and well being of the students at all times. Doug Anderson, the Director, and his family also lives on campus.
A core belief of the Teen Challenge program is that the Holy Spirit does the work of life transformation in the students. To help facilitate this transformation the students are challenged in their interactions with staff and peers to live a Godly example. Each student also participates in one-on-one counseling focusing on issues they need to address, group counseling, Bible studies, chapel and work projects to help them learn core character traits such as responsibility, integrity, honesty and respect for authority. Our goal is for students to grow toward spiritual maturity leading them to respect themselves, respect others and make wise life choices.
Our school is private a Christian Academy. We utilize the Switched-On Schoolhouse curriculum provided by Alpha Omega Publications. Each student takes classes focused on the core subjects of Mathematics, Science, Language Arts, History and Geography and Bible.
The Teen Challenge Kansas City Girls Academy is a place of life transformation for troubled teen girls. Each student is provided the time, teaching and opportunity that are necessary for lives to be mended, relationships to be restored and the love of Christ to grow.

These words describe the mission of the Teen Challenge Kansas City Girls Academy. We introduce rebellious teenage girls to the only one who can truly give them a second chance – Jesus Christ.
If you are even considering placing your daughter in a Christian residential program you have already experienced some or all of the following from your daughter – rebellion, manipulation, out of control anger, drug and alcohol abuse, promiscuity, hatred, self-mutilation and the list could go on and on…
The Teen Challenge Kansas City Girls Academy provides a loving and disciplined environment where teen girls will participate in Bible based counseling, a high quality education, and individual and group Bible studies. As each student’s life is transformed you will begin to see love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (See Galatians 5:22-23.)
At the Teen Challenge Kansas City Girls Academy we believe each child is uniquely and wonderfully made (see Psalm 139:14.) Our program provides an opportunity for each student to reconsider the decisions of the past and to refocus their lives in light of God’s Word. In the process, the student is taught indispensable life-lessons of team work, patience, diligence, determination, communication, motivation, and the value of hard work to name a few. In essence, they are given the opportunity to live the abundant life God intends for them.
