It has always been difficult for the parents to handle their struggling teens. Integrated Teen Services (ITS) is a wide-ranging and modified service for troubled teenagers and their family members. They have good experience in restoring families at-risk. They deal with teen issues such as loss of interest in extra curricular activities, lying, substance abuse, authority problems, behavioral problem, negative peer pressure influence, addiction to audio and visual activities such as video games, internet, pornography etc.
David Heckenlively is a therapeutic consultant of the ITS. He is also a licensed psychiatrist and good experience in therapy as well as curriculum. They provide individual, group, and family therapy to troubled teens and their family members. The ITS works in a structured procedure of enrolling the teens and providing them treatment. This process includes:
- Assessment
- Planning
- Treatment
- Support
They offer many programs that take care of academic and emotional needs of each individual. These programs are either short term or long term. Some of their short term programs include summer programs, wilderness therapy, residential assessment facilities etc. Their long term programs include traditional boarding school, therapeutic boarding school, residential treatment center etc. Family is considered to be the backbone of their program. They offer special after care program for families of struggling teens. These programs guide parents on how to deal with their child when they return home after the treatment. They have most of their clients in Bay Area but many other clients throughout the country.
