Manuia Plantation is a residential treatment center that offer therapeutic treatment to struggling boys in the age group of 13 to 18 years. It helps teens to cope up with problems such as substance abuse, ODD, attachment disorder, depression, ADD. It is located in the tropical islands of Samoa. It is named plantation because its campus is bounded by greenery, rain forests, fresh water pools, reef, and volcanic mountains. The soothing, safe and friendly environment helps teens to develop a positive thinking attitude and relationship building trust.
The duration of their programs in about 5 months and this includes individual, group, and family therapy and counseling. The student to staff ratio is kept small, that is about 1:4, so that each student is given individual attention by the faculty members. These staff members make the environment home like so that teens learn at a god pace. MP has some core value and principles. They teach their students team work, leadership, personal sacrifice, learning culture and language. Apart from curriculum, MP also provides students with extra curricular activities such as dance, art, music, cooking, hiking, planting, personal growth activities etc. Their tuition fee is 330 USD per day and 9900 USD per month. It is possible for the parents to pay the fee in easy monthly installments by taking loan from various banks such as Sallie Mae, Key Bank, Washington Mutual Bank Home Equity Loans.
