The name Redwood Grove is named after the red wood tree because they are supposed to survive living together and interconnected with its surrounding trees. Redwood Grove Transitional Systems, Inc. is a Utah based corporation dedicated to help families in crisis. It is similar to a wilderness or residential program and gives an idea about how teens should be placed and treated once they return home after the successful completion of program. The founder of the corporation, W. Christopher Tolen, Psy.D, is dedicated to help troubled teens since last 16 years. The campus offers learning and structured home like environment and provides good interactions on different fields of family, individual, social, spiritual, and education. They have well qualified and experienced staff that helps teens to fix issues such as ADHD, bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, behavioral and emotional problems etc. The programs that they offer usually last for about 4 to 6 months and each student is treated by a separate therapist. The therapist makes home visits even after the child returns home after the completion of program. If required, he will provide family therapy as well. The programs include individual, group and family therapy, coaching, observations, and crisis management. During the program, the parents are given the progress report of their child and how they are reacting to the treatment.
