Ridge Creek is a wilderness program for teenager young boys’ ages of 13 to 17. It is located in the foothills of the North Georgia Mountains. It offers the surrounding in the students gain the knowledge how their dealings, beliefs and approach affect themselves and others.
The main focus of the program is to run a nationwide healing wilderness leadership program for teenagers’ ages of 8-12. The aim of the program is to help teenagers think positive belongings they can do to get rid of their depressing, self-destructive behaviors, and to build up self-reliance, admiration, and leadership skills. The counseling and wilderness programs are also offered to the students. This will help the students to think without being marsh in the interruptions and ambushes.
They offer aftercare suggestions to the parents, educational advisors, and other recommendation sources of their students.
The students accept by the programs may exhibit the following characteristics:
-Oppositional Defiant Disorder
-Authority and adolescent adjustment
-Negative approach
-Hostile
-Oppositional defiant behavior
-Angry, resentful, spiteful, or vindictive
-Lost temper
-Actively defy or refuse to comply with adults’ rules or requests
They also offer curriculum activities like leadership, environmental instruction, primitive camping skills, mountaineering, topographic map reading and wilderness navigation, medical training to include basic first aid and CPR, physical endurance and muscular development, and daily therapeutic counseling. A workshop to the parents of the students is offered to teach them how to treat their troubled teens.

This can be the good place for troubled teens to get the proper solution of their problems. The atmosphere here is very friendly to the students. It helps the students to learn how to deal with their problems, how their negative approaches affect others and also themselves. It helps the students to get rid of their negative approach and also help them to find a new positive and energetic way of their lives. The curriculum activities offer by them is helps the students to learn basic daily living skills. They try to help the parents also. They provide workshop to the parents and try to make them understand how to deal with their children. This program will be much beneficial for the troubled teens. It will make their lives more beautiful and succeed in their lives.
