Spring Ridge Academy is a girl’s boarding school for troubled teens located in Arizona near the community of Spring Valley. It is licensed by the Arizona State Department of Health Services. It offers high school women a choice for change and an opportunity to redirect their lives.
The academy is committed to turn difficulties into opportunities, conflicts into successes, and troubles young women into capable, competent achievers.
The main aim of the academy is to bring success for girls both academic success and success in life. They try to create confidence and competence in emotional, physical and academic, community and family.
The students with the following problem can be the part of the academy
- Low self-image, self-confidence, or self-esteem
- Unsatisfactory peer group association
- Self-deprecating beliefs and attitudes
- Drug/alcohol use
- Poor school performance, attitude, and attendance
- Running away
- Lying, cheating, stealing, manipulation
- Lack of cooperation at home or school
- Depression
- Verbal abusiveness
The girls here will be taught about the relationship she has with herself. She will also be taught better ways of coping, better means of expressing herself, better tactics for handling the disappointments, rejections and upsets.
There are many other extra facilities provided by the school are: ten classrooms which include a science lab, computer lab, library, dance/yoga and art studios. Individual therapy rooms, sand volleyball court, soccer field, track, softball diamond, workout room and a multi-use sports court offering the students further physical conditioning by adding basketball, tennis, and a variety of racket sports on a cushioned surface for outdoor, all weather, multi purpose use.
The staff of the school is well trained and experienced which try to help the students to become free from their problems and find a new way for their lives.
