Step Beyond Transitional Living Center is dedicated to help boys in the age group of 17 to 24 years that are facing issues such as learning disabilities, ADD, ADHD etc. It provides them with a home like environment that helps them to develop independent life skills which helps them in becoming mature adults. The Step Beyond works on the methodology of learning and implementing things. The troubled boys first learn about the social, emotional, and intelligence life skills. They are then motivated and encouraged to implement these skills in their daily routine. Their performance is then evaluated on how much they’ve learned. The programs of Step Beyond are designed for a short duration of 6-8 months. They have to undergo four levels in the program and that too with a constant supervision and support from the staff. After these five levels, he will be treated as a graduate. In level one, the young ones will know about the independent life skills. In level two, they will know about their responsibilities and they have to go through a unique situation that is being put into action. In level three, they will learn how to manage their basic responsibilities. Level four is same as level three but at a higher level. In level five, he is moving towards adulthood, start feeling superior and will know about time management. After completion of these five stages, he will be grown up with his life skills.
