Summit Achievement is outdoor residential treatment center located in the White Mountain region of Maine licensed by the State of Maine as a residential treatment center with mental health and substance abuse certification. The organization is dedicated to serve adolescent boys and girls ages 13 to 19 that are experiencing difficulty within their family, school and/or personal lives. They give the treatment to troubled teen by the process of engaging therapy, class room academics and challenging wilderness expeditions. They make the students to learn to accept responsibility for personal decisions and past behaviors, address individual and family issues and become invested in their future.
The student accepts by the summit Achievement may exhibit such characteristics such as low self-esteem, low motivation , poor decision making , impulsivity , susceptibility to negative peer pressure , defiance of authority ,refusal to take responsibility for behavior ,academic underachievement ,school refusal , drug or alcohol experimentation or abuse and many more.
The students are required six program levels to progress. The whole program teaches the student to be accountable for their behavior and build the self-confidence. It also helps the students to gain the skills they need to lead healthy and creative lives. At the end of the program the students adapt with a new approach, the capability to accept limits and the resolve to evade past deeds and poor choices.
