SUWS provides therapeutic wilderness services focus on clinical intervention and assessment since 1981. They provide their service to the students ages of 10 to 17 and is situated at the North Carolina. They offer necessary guidance and support to thousands of misdirected and at-risk teenagers. SUWS provides a choice to conventional treatment atmosphere, while engaging students using traditional therapeutic methods.
The treatment approach of the organization is helping the students identify their limiting emotional beliefs and destructive behavioral habits. This helps the students shift their focus from personal entitlement and blaming to mastering individual accountability and practicing healthy relationship skills.

The search and rescue metaphor is use to teach the student character development as well as to assist in the identification of core values and guiding principles.
They have highly trained counselors and therapists which make the students to engage in their automatic behavioral habits. This helps the students to accept responsibility for personal decisions, address individual and family and invested in their character development.

I’ll say Suws of the Carolinas/seasons is a very good place for children and teenagers who are misdirected and at-risk teenagers. One most beneficial thing is that they provide choice to conventional treatment atmosphere and use traditional methods to treat the students.
They have adopted the treatment approach based on helping the students by identify their limiting emotional beliefs and destructive behavioral habits. This treatment helps students to find a new way of their lives and also make them to take the responsibilities while blaming others for their mistakes. The SUWS will help the students to be self dependent and making decision and increasing self- awareness and self- esteem.
My friend’s son is suffering from depression and isolation .He started suffering this when his parents got separated. The child did not handle it well and is not faring well in his studies at school. My question is will he be able to recover from his behavioral issues? Does the program offer him the correct guidance he needs to improve academically? Can he regain his community skills at the center?
