When transporting your child we will always have a vehicle with window locks and child locks to prevent your child from trying to run away. When there is an airport involved we will pick up your child so there is plenty of time to drive to the airport and make sure that your child is calm and willing to fly. In this event your child will be very upset and confused and may decide not to fly, in this case we will start to drive your child to the designated program. There is no extra fee for driving we will use the airfare that would have been used and apply that towards the extra car rental, gas, food etc…
Your child will be accompanied at all times, bathrooms, airports, etc. Making sure that if your child is female there is always a female transport to take her into the restrooms.

Preparing to have your child transported:
1.It is very important not to give any indication that something is going on.
2.Make sure when packing things for your child that you don’t make it noticeable. We will take the specific items on the list provided to you by the program but if we are flying it is best to provide the escorts with a carry on bag for your child with underwear, tooth brush, socks and anything else that may be necessary for a weeks time, please remember the new carry on policy no liquids, makeup, etc... Then UPS the remaining items.
3.We will set up a time that is best for you to talk with the Head transporter you can ask any questions so that you are comfortable with them. At that time they will get directions to your home and any specific instructions that will make things easier for you.
4.Please do your best to have all paper work done: contracts signed, cashiers check or money order, etc, before we arrive at your home.
***You may want to write your teen a letter, give it to the transport team to be given to your child en route to the program. You can tell your child anything in this letter and they will not be able to respond to you. It is a very good way of expressing your feelings.
When we arrive at your home we will lightly knock on your door. The escorts will get all of your child’s luggage and any paperwork, checks, etc.
Instructions in the bedroom:
1.You and the escorts will go into your child’s room at the same time. This is very important because we don’t want you to get hurt in any way. Explain to your child that these people are here to take her/him to a school and will explain everything to you. At this point say I love you and exit the room.
2.Go to the other side of your home so your child will not see you again. This will prevent anymore verbal abuse towards you from your child.
3.We do carry restraints, not all children need to be restrained but in some cases if your child is going to hurt themselves or someone else, this is when they will be used.
4.The escorts will explain everything to your child once he/she is in the car. It is best if we can get your child out of your house as soon as possible.
5.Sometimes a child will request to talk with their parents. In this case the only way we will do this is in the car. The Head transport will come back in and if you would like to talk to your child again then we will roll the window down a crack, but if your child starts to treat you with any disrespect or begging we will drive away.
6.Upon arriving at the designated school the Head transport will call you and let you know how the transport went. There are times that cell service is unavailable but you will receive a call as soon as possible.
7.You can call into the office at any time to find out the status of your child’s transport, if we have not heard anything we will call the escorts to find out for you. It is best that you don’t call the escorts while they have your child with them, this will only upset him/her if your voice is heard.
