The Gow School is a boarding school for boys who have dyslexia or other learning disabilities. They enroll the boys of ages 7-12. This is the world’s oldest boarding school. The founder of The Gow School is Peter Gow. This school was established in 1926 and this is located in New York. Their class size are very school i.e. student teacher ratio is 4:1. They use a very effective program “Reconstructive Language”. Using this program they teach spelling, learning expression and mathematics etc. With academics, they encourage the teens to stick on respect, honesty, hard work and kindness.
Their main goal is to recover the struggling teen from learning disabilities using Reconstructive Language program. Students at The Gow School can improve their intellectual ability. They can know about their own responsibility and resources. They offer individual care and attention. They maintain regular contact with the parents of struggling teens. The staff member at The Gow School are trained and experienced. They offer classes six days a week. They also offer employment opportunity to their students.
They also offer summer program to teens. The summer program is for both boys and girls of ages 8-16. The admission procedure at The Gow School is not tough. They charge $100 for application fee.
