Timber Ridge Preparatory is a school for girls is located near breathtaking mountains of North Idaho. The school helps the troubled teenagers through a structured, cultivating environment that encourages growth and healthy self-expression. The school is committed to helping the students strengthen family relationships and develop emotional and intellectual skills that will last a lifetime.
The school believes that a girl child must not sacrifice her education to overcome emotional obstacles. They provide programs based on individual consideration and a plan to meet each student’s requirements. The main aim of the school is to help students go back home motivated and empowered to get pleasure from their families and live life to it happily.
In the school the students have to walk through four levels of programs which help them to increase better self- awareness and reconnect with their values. The young girls are offered a secure haven free from drugs and alcohol, free from the pressures and dangers of risky sexual behavior, and free from the burden of being just another face in the crowd at the Timber Ridge.
They believe that the greater success is possible when the adults participate in the learning process of young’s lives. Family involvement can is a vital part of therapeutic and teaching, so they encourage families to practice in their daughters’ activities.In the school the attention is given on the whole child and the challenges of adolescence.
The school offers different aspect of therapies for each girl, creating a unique program to help her achieve an energetic unbiased living. The school has included Dialectical Behavioral Therapy or DBT.
The objectives of the treatment are:
- To decrease life-threatening and quality of life interfering behaviors
- Enhance behavioral capabilities and social functioning
- Reduce emotional reactivity (especially anger)
- Improve motivation to change
- Generalize new skills to the real-world environment

Timber Ridge Preparatory school provides girls a boy- free campus so girls here will feel emotional security. This will allow the girls their own needs and emerging sense-of-self to be comprised. The school provides special treatment for drugs and alcohol addiction, the pressures and dangers of unsafe sexual activities and many other mental problems.
The school focuses to make the better relationship between students and their family. They try to make students understand the pleasure to be with their family and help them to go back home. They also work for drop out school girls. The school provides different therapeutic programs for girls individually to help them to find a new energetic way of their lives. This will help them to make their future bright and pleasurable life.
