Wediko is non- profitable organization based on therapeutic summer program providing services to troubled children. It’s a day boarding school and independent living programs for boy ages of 6 to 21. It was founded in 1989 and serving since last 70 years. The program is dedicated to help children whose education, social growth and self-direction is sheathing. Dr. Robert A. Young has started the organization with the vision of child’s stay as a time for learning new social skills as well as correcting existing distortions in feeling and thoughts and to formulate ideas for a summer program which would relieve troubled children from the pressures of their daily lives, as well as provide comprehensive, growth-producing experiences.
After while the programs has been enlarged to include a school, groups for girls, specialized groups for adolescents and groups treating atypical, and adopted children. The focus of the program is to encourage the children in self- knowledge, self- control and self- esteem.
The student who had these characteristics is accepted by the organization such as typically struggle with lagging self-control and Inadequate socials skills and poor academic achievement.
Besides these programs the group runs the Boston school- based program which offers community based clinical services to children and families. Around 600 families are taking advantage of these summer programs whose children attend the Boston, Medford and Chelsea Public Schools. They also provide youth an intensive short- term group and family therapy services.
The individual curriculum activities with language arts, mathematics, social studies, science and fine arts are integrated by the group. They organize daily groups meetings, individual therapy, comprehensive feedback system, motivation incentive system, social skills training and therapeutic horseback riding.

Message to Parents:
The treatment center mentioned above is one of the best places for children to gain recovery with education and entertainment. Here the boys will experienced the fun of summer school and also they will get treated to come out from their difficulties. It helps the children correcting their distortion in feeling and thoughts.
The summer program is focused to make children free from their daily lives pressure and provide comprehensive growth- producing experiences. They offer individual care and facilities which will be more beneficial to the boys. Besides treatment they provide curriculum activities and also facilities which help the boys to grow in their self- confidence, self- control. This will help them to make their lives better in future.

The Wediko Children's Services has been providing many innovative healing programs for at risk boys and their families. The school respects compassion and does not force any teen boy to into the program. The programs teach the boys to identify their needs and understand the problem.
