Hello, my name is Matt, father of 16 year old boy. He used to be the best student in his class from pre kindergarten to high school. Due to some reasons of changing the accommodation we admit him in another school. Now he used to come home very late and his new friends behavior and the way of talking and living is not good. I think he is falling in to bad companies so please suggest me some good and appropriate suggestion before he will get indulge in some bad consequences?

As you said that your son is only 16 years of age and preciously he used to be the best student of the class. In my view point, he is facing motivational and behavioral problems and that’s why he behaves like this. Sometimes due to bad company also, children get spoiled. So keep a watch on him and spend some time with him.

I suggest you to arrange some parties at home so that he feel refresh and happy. Secondly as you said that you have shifted from that place, so he might have got the company of bad friends. You can also go to his school and take some help from his school friends. Or you can get some help from the expert counselors and the therapists.

Mr. Matt you don’t have to worry too much about your son. You just need to talk to talk him in very polite and calm manner. Motivate him to get his objectives and reach his goals of life. May be he get inspired by your motivation and start studying in same spirit once again.

This is true that your son get trapped into the addictions of drugs. This is very fine that you have started to take positive actions from now. Firstly try to have close conversation with your son. Your advice can create very good effects on his identity and positive attitude.
