What is the purpose of sending our loving kids to troubled teens help centers?
Purpose is to make them better human beings. You mentioned that your child is a troubled teen. This statement is itself an answer to your question. If child is troubled then he needs professional help to recover. There are many options available but finding the best option for your teen is your responsibility.
I simply don’t like the option of sending struggling teens away from home. This is very bad idea. It is like parents are running from there responsibilities. If you think your child is in trouble then give him time and support. He will recover only if his parents are with him.
See, sometimes teenagers are really out of control. They take drugs and disobey their elders because there first need is drug and friends. And many other situations occur due to which parents send their child or teens to clinical treatment center or drug rehabs.
When teen is different from normal teens it means that he is in some kind of trouble. If you think your child is in mess and needs support then talk to him. Try to give him confidence and friendly atmosphere. Try to make him your friend and make him comfortable at home. By releasing his metal pressure you can help him to understand situations better.
Well, this discussion is going out of track. Question is regarding troubled teens. We must understand that normal teens’ behavior is different than troubled teens’ behavior. In case of normal teens, parents can help and make them comfortable at home but troubled teens need special training. These trainings are possible only in specially designed places for troubled teens like schools for struggling teens, camps for troubled teens, programs for unmotivated teens. Many places are available.
Sending teens to places where they can improve is a good idea. This is right step becuase parents also do not have much time for their childrens because of high pressure jobs.
