My daughter is 16 years old. From last two months she seems to be in depression and tried to elope two times. I asked her about it many times, what reason behind it is, but she never told anything to me. I asked to her friends but they also don’t know the reason for this. Please tell me how I can help my daughter.

This is a serious situation about which your daughter got depressed and can’t be able to share it with you. She may be thinking that if she told her problem to you then you don’t understand her feelings. It may be related to any physical problem or any other failures which don’t expect from her. She needs love and affection from your side than only able to discuss you about problems so go for it. In-stead of getting angry on her just tries to be friendly with her and ask about problems. You can take help from any psychiatrists.

Sometime a problem is so big for someone but nothing for others. That totally depends on the nature and way of thinking of the person. If your daughter is very shy and introvert in nature than it may be possible that she facing a little bit problem which doesn’t matter for others. This leads to cause depression in her. You have to find the problem of your daughter by sharing her and give her friendly environment in home. And consult with some experienced physiologist.
