Hello, I got divorced 2 years back. Since then, we, father and son live together. He is four years old but he seems to me as a sad teen. My child does not play with other children. He does not laugh as much as others do. I do not understand the problem. Will it lead him to be a troubled teen? Is it that he misses his mom?

First of all, you should know that at this age your son must be able to see that his friends do have mothers and he must be wondering where his mom is? I think the best would be to spend time with your son, speak to him and try to explain him where his mom is. If you are scared of negative consequences, go to a good therapist. All this odes not mean that your son is going to be a troubled teen at all. Just give him time and love.
