My child is 14 years old child had started behaving differently. From last two months I have observed that he has become very aggressive. I am also getting his regular complaints from school that he is being violent with many of his friends. He also hit one of his friends very badly. He spends a lot of time playing videogames and watching TV. I stop him in very possible way, but he never listens to me. Please tell me what should I do?

Children in teenage usually become aggressive. My child also got aggressive 4 years back. But he is completely alright now. I took the help from a counselor and got him treated by a therapist only. I also told his friends to make him realize that he is wrong. This really worked for him. I hope this will definitely work for your child too.

Your child really needs a help. But, the first help is to be given by the parents only. First of all I would like to suggest you to focus on time management. Make a schedule for your child as for how much time he can play videogame, watch TV, study etc. Do not just allow him to do whatever he feels like. Set some rules and regulations for him. And take help from a counselor.

If your teen is developing such kind of violent behavior then it may be a consequence of some other teenage problem he might be facing. Try to find out the reason of his behavior. Teen aggression and violence is one of the most common problems and is increasing day by day. Take help of a good counselor. You can also send your teens to a good boot camp or boarding school.

I think you should take advice of a psychiatrist immediately as this may be a sign of ODD in your teen. Talk to your child frankly and try to find out the reason of his behavior. If it is due to some depression or stress in studies then find solution for it by talking to his teachers. Help of a therapist may be taken. There are also many military boarding schools and Christian boarding schools for helping such children.

Boarding school is the best option for your child. If you do not know that why he is doing like this, you should consult to doctors and professionals. Don’t interfere in his matters otherwise he may harm you. Talk with him with love and know the reason of his aggressiveness.

These are some of the symptoms of a troubled teen. His way of behavior shows that he is suffering with stress problem and in order to reduce all the stress he is behaving differently. When people have heavy stress on them, usually they have different mood while they act on any thing. So I would suggest you first take him to the specialist in dealing stress problem and then think of further steps.

I will agree with one of my friends answer because he might be suffering with stress problem. Verify whether he was given more assignments or more work from any teachers, or from others. This might be the problem because from the past two months onwards he is behaving like that. So once analyze all these issues and come to a point.
