Hi! My name is Jason. I am a 19 year old college student. 7 months ago, I tried smoking with some of my friends, just for fun. Soon I became addicted to it. After sometime I also started taking drugs such as Marijuana etc. Now I have completely ruined my life and health. I have been expelled from my college due to this. I want to get rid of this addiction. What can I do?

It is really great that you have posted this question because it shows your interest in changing your life. I think this move itself will make you 50% free out of your problem. Remaining fifty percent you have to control your smoking. Controlling yourself in smoking is the main method to come out of this problem. It would take some time, but I think you can do it in short period. All the best.

It’s not a big issue. You have to avoid smoking otherwise it can affect your health. You can help your elders or good friends. You can take help of counselor. You have to control on yourself. It will take some time but I am sure that you would be successful.

You should immediately go to a good rehabilitation center or some good residential treatment centers. There are many good such centers that effectively helps those teens who are drug addicted. You should have strong determination, about leaving this habit.

Dear Jason! Drug abuse is one of the most common problems in teens these days. Drug addicted teens want to leave this habit but they are unable to do that because of lack of determination. If you seriously want to get rid of it then first take advice of a good doctor. There are many medicines which can help you in getting rid of drug addiction. Children of your age usually experiment with new things especially with smoking, alcohol and drugs. Once you are into these addictions, it becomes difficult to get rid of it completely. However, you can take help from a counselor or an expert who can help you finding a good drug rehabilitation center for yourself.

You must know about the harmful effects of abusing drugs and alcohol. This happens usually due to insufficient parental care and monitoring that allowed you to experiment with this for the first time. Talk to yourself that why you are doing this, will this give you any result.
