Hi, my name is Jonathan, I don’t like to talk to people and I don’t like making friends. From the starting of school life, I was a very shy and I had no friends. I think I was lacking in confidence and I couldn’t talk to people properly. Now I am alone and I want to talk to people. Please tell me how I can kill my shyness.

Hello Jonathan. Nobody can help you in this situation. You have to take initiative yourself otherwise with age your confidence level will fall down. You have to take opportunity to talk to people. You can go to public place and talk to people. By this you can reduce your hesitation. Through internet, you can make friends and meet them. It’s a good solution by which you can increase your network and make friends more and more.

I think you should go for a wilderness camp or a good and adventurous summer camp. These camps make their students to take part in certain group activities and tasks. This will certainly develop confidence in yourself and you will make some good friend their. Also in school and college try to take part in sports and other activities. This will also help you.

What I would advice you Jonathan, is to read a book named “The shy child”. This book reveals the signs of shyness with many practical suggestions as how you can cope up with anxiety and introvert ness. This will help you to build your self confidence. Talk to your friends and your parents and tell your feelings to them. This will definitely help you to become an extrovert.
