In the botanical garden Australian and South African plants that are spectacular in spring. This Garden is operated by the Board of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide. It has 15 hectares area and is located about 10 km south of Adelaide. The Garden was developed by Keith Ashby and was opened to the public in 1975.
The Blackwood is situated in wine making regions. In the Blackwood Easter Market is held annually on Easter Saturday. On Easter very talented craft manufacturers, many visitors and Blackwood residents have come in this market.
