Parents Help in Endeavour Hills
Endeavour Hills is situated in state Victoria in Australia. It is an outer eastern inhabited district of Melbourne. It is a local government area of the city of Casey. The development of Endeavour Hills began with the development of a small housing estate. The original sales office was located in what is now the Joseph Banks Medical Centre. A statue of explorer James Cook stood outside; new streets were named around the explorer Cook, his ship the Endeavour, and fellow sailors and explorers.
The new community has live in Endeavour Hills. The company who wanted to develop the farmland where Endeavour Hills is today, had to work very hard to convince the former Shire of Berwick to support the project.
The Europeans came to the Endeavour Hills in 1830. The land was divided into very large cattle runs, such as St Germains and Mayune. More people settled in the area during the 1850s when land was sub-divided into smaller farms and farming continued to be the primary industry until the 1950s.
There was its own community have its own its own Leisure Center, Shopping Center, Library, medical clinic and of course pre-schools and schools. They wanted to create plenty of parkland, bike paths and safe places for children. The developers aimed to attract people by offering families a neighbourly place to live. The first school opened in Endeavour Hills was named on Captain Cook name.
Captain Cook discovered this land. Endeavour Hills was almost called Piney Ridge, or Pine Hills. It was named as Endeavour Hills in 1970 and in honor of the two hundredth anniversary of Captain Cook\'s arrival in Botany Bay. The estate was officially opened in 1974 under this name.
