Perth is the capital of west Australian state West Australia. It is the largest city in Western Australia. It is established in 1829 by Captain James Stirling. Area of the Perth is about 5386 square kilometer and population of Perth is about 1500000, one third of its state population. It is fourth populous city of Australia. It is situated at 31°52-48 south on latitude and 115°51-58 east on longitude.

Perth is the most isolated metropolitan area on Earth. The nearest city to it with a population of over 1 million is Adelaide in South Australia, a distance of approximately 2,104 kilometers.

The temperature of Perth varies 9 to 30 degree Celsius. The maximum temperature of summer is 30 degree Celsius and minimum temperature of winter is 9 degree Celsius. The mean annual rainfall is 870 mm, with May to August being the rainy season.

Perth city is very beautiful and there are many places for visit. Perth City Centre is located alongside the peaceful waters of the Swan River, twenty Kilometres inland of the Indian Ocean on the West Coast of Australia. The Perth city centre bustles with activity and offers a range of choices for shopping.

There are four public universities, and one private university: the University of Western Australia, Murdoch University, Curtin University of Technology, Edith Cowan University, and the University of Notre Dame respectively, situated in Perth. The University of Western Australia, which was founded in 1911, is renowned as one of Australia leading research institutions.

There is an international airport in Perth. Perth is served by Perth Airport in the east of the city for domestic and international flights and Jandakot Airport in the city is southern suburbs for general aviation. Perth is linked with three national highways. There are 15 bus stops and 59 railway stations are situated in Perth.
