Parents Help in Cambridge
Cambridge is a small city in eastern England. The city area is 16 square miles or 41 square kilometers. The population in 1991, excluding students, was 91,933. The University of Cambridge has more than 16,500 full-time students. More than 3,500,000 tourists visit the city each year. So there is a widely fluctuating population throughout the year.
Cambridge lies on the River Cam, a tributary of the Ouse. It is surrounded by farmland, with flat, peaty fens to the north, and chalk hills to the south. It is the county town of Cambridgeshire. Nearby towns and cities include and Peterborough. Ely, Huntingdon, Newmarket, Bedford. Cambridge is about 50 miles north of London.
The community of Cambridge is located on the banks of the scenic Rum River in east central Minnesota. The community has long prided itself on maintaining a high quality of life for its area residents. Many community sectors are intertwined to achieve this quality of life including, excellent education K-12, two year college degree programs locally, comprehensive health care services and qualified professionals, unique shopping experiences and a large variety of retail stores, entertainment establishments, recreation areas and numerous restaurants. There is adequate housing to be found in new and established neighborhoods.
The business community of the Cambridge area continues to expand and grow. New commercial entities are continually moving to our area and bringing with them gainful employment opportunities as well as increased services to our area residents.
The strong manufacturing and industrial districts have given the community a solid tax base and through their expansions have become known globally for many of their products.
